Assistant Education Officer Job at Wildlife Clubs of Kenya

Purpose of the position: To work in close collaboration with the Region Head on matters pertaining WCK Education Programmes office and its facilities

Major Responsibilities
  1. Ensure effective  smooth running of the Education Environmental Programmes
  2. Plan, Coordinate and organize the regions education programme activities
  3. Ensure the timely and effective implementation of all project interventions
  4. Promote and market the centre
  5. Ensure the timely and appropriate utilization of  allocated resources
  6. Ensure effective communication with members i.e. schools, patrons and communities
  7. Provide effective guidance to the region’s support staff

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Minimum diploma in Environmental Sciences or related fields i.e. Natural Resources & Wildlife Management.
  2. A certificate  in business management
  3. Minimum 3 years experience gained in environmental management related fields
  4. Excellent computer and  marketing  skills
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal  and presentation skills
Required Competencies:
  1. Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes into the programmes
  2. Willing to travel frequently to the field
  3. Community mobilization development skills and Strong interpersonal skills
  4. Must have skill in taking initiative, thinking creatively and working collaboratively
  5. Must have skills in report writing 
  6. Must be Commitment and enthusiasm for environmental conservation and sustainable development
  7. Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her
  8. Have a driving license
NB. The candidate should be willing to work in any part of Kenya
