Purpose of the position: To work in close collaboration with the Region Head on matters pertaining WCK Education Programmes office and its facilities
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure effective smooth running of the Education Environmental Programmes
- Plan, Coordinate and organize the regions education programme activities
- Ensure the timely and effective implementation of all project interventions
- Promote and market the centre
- Ensure the timely and appropriate utilization of allocated resources
- Ensure effective communication with members i.e. schools, patrons and communities
- Provide effective guidance to the region’s support staff
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum diploma in Environmental Sciences or related fields i.e. Natural Resources & Wildlife Management.
- A certificate in business management
- Minimum 3 years experience gained in environmental management related fields
- Excellent computer and marketing skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Required Competencies:
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes into the programmes
- Willing to travel frequently to the field
- Community mobilization development skills and Strong interpersonal skills
- Must have skill in taking initiative, thinking creatively and working collaboratively
- Must have skills in report writing
- Must be Commitment and enthusiasm for environmental conservation and sustainable development
- Should be willing, ready and able to perform other duties as delegated to him/her
- Have a driving license
